Webinar: Digital Product Passports Beyond Compliance

ESPR will require Digital Product Passports for a growing range of products sold in the EU. Experts from Movilitas.Cloud, Spherity and the Wuppertal Institute explain how to prepare, and how the same product data can support new services and customer trust.
ABOUT THE WEBINAR
The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) entered into force in July 2024. It introduces Digital Product Passports (DPPs): digital records of a product's origin, materials, repairs and environmental footprint that will become mandatory for more product categories over the coming years. Meeting the requirement is the starting point. In this panel, Movilitas.Cloud, Spherity and a circular economy researcher from the Wuppertal Institute discuss how DPPs connect to serialization, verified digital identity and product data management, and how companies can use them to improve operations, support circular business models and build trust with customers.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- ESPR readiness: what the regulation requires and how to prepare product data before categoryspecific rules apply.
- Better product data management: how a single serialized record per product simplifies operations across the lifecycle.
- Circular business models: how DPPs support repair, reuse and recycling, and where that creates commercial opportunity.
- Trust through transparency: why verified product data strengthens customer confidence and brand protection.
